This is one of the “new breed” of “old fashioned” five ale bars.

As the name suggests Cobblers used to be, well, the cobblers! It has been converted from shodding shoes to flogging flagons. The bar is very dog friendly and there is a small rear room for families.

It has been a big hit with real ale fans since its opening. The gin and wine selection is a little limited, but there are plenty of establishments offering those tipples with a short staggering distance.
