The First Catch occupies a prominent corner location on the way into Filey. The business is in two parts, a fish and chip shop with seating outside and a seventy seat licensed restaurant.

As well as fish and chips, the restaurant sells Whitby whole tail scampi, fresh mussels, home-made burgers and soups.
