  • The Waterside Restaurant @ Downcliffe House is a fine dining restaurant.

That doesn’t mean it’s stuffy, unapproachable or you need to wear your old school tie! It simply means that you can eat beautifully cooked Pan Seared Scallops washed down with a bottle of Pol Roger before digging in to Beef Wellington and a drop of good claret.

The menu changes nightly but old chums like the Fat Ginger Pig keeps raising it’s head; as do Granny Scarrott’s awesome puds. Booking advisable especially weekends and during the holiday season.

Sample menus can be viewed here.

Lovely establishment, well decorated and friendly environment. Had the pleasure of trying a few dishes from the menu, all of which were superb. Would definitely recommend to others and will be going again!
