Beach Litter Pick in October

Events, Filey   /   Tags: , ,

As this busiest of summers shows little sign of slowing down, the pressure on our beaches has been tremendous. Whilst the vast majority of visitors leave little more than footprints, unfortunately a persistent minority continue to leave litter on the beach.

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, founded in 1946, is a charity dedicated to conserving, protecting and restoring wildlife and wild places in Yorkshire. They organise regular beach cleans up and down the Yorkshire coast. Everyone is welcome and there is no need to prebook. Just turn up!

Their next event at Filey takes place on Sunday 4 October between 11am and 1pm. You can join the Waves of Waste co-ordinators as they give Filey South beach a thorough tidy up to protect marine wildlife.
