They say that one swallow doesn’t make a summer; but thirteen brass and silver bands in the Crescent Gardens definitely does. In a wonderful sign that, perhaps, just perhaps, things are getting back to normal, the schedule for the band concerts in the Crescent Gardens Bandstand has been released.

It’s an event akin to Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s Scarborough fixtures being released. An annual ritual where, in the cool days of early spring, you dig the diary out and pen in long lazy summer afternoons. Get there early and grab a deck chair is our best advice.

The concerts take place in the bandstand on the Crescent Gardens. All bar one are on Sunday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm. In the event of inclement weather the concerts are transferred into the Methodist Church.
