Everyone had fun at the Filey RNLI Lifeboat weekend, which took place last weekend.
A fun-filled programme of events was planned over the course of the weekend to celebrate the launch of Filey’s brand new lifeboats, and to celebrate all the hard work and dedication our coastal team puts in to protect us.
Over the course of the three days, there was something for every member of the family to help raise funds for Filey Lifeboat Station.
The main event was the launch of Filey’s new lifeboats and a display by the rescue helicopter. The activities started with a mammoth afternoon tea held in the boathouse tomorrow.
The annual raft race, this year, took place on Saturday afternoon from about 1.30pm with teams competing for the trophy.
There was also a static display by the White Rose Goldwing Motorcycle group, while the Ramshackle Shanty Men performed their songs along the promenade.
